BARE ( Bamboo Academy for Research and Entrepreneurship) was founded in 2023 with a powerful vision: to transform India’s rich but underutilized bamboo resources into a driver of sustainable development, industrial growth, and environmental resilience. Witnessing the remarkable progress of bamboo industries in China and Southeast Asia, we saw a clear opportunity for India to rise as a global leader in bamboo-based entrepreneurship and green construction.
The initiative is spearheaded by Mr. Kulkarni Santosh, a Chartered Accountant with over 13 years of experience working closely with tribal communities and grassroots development. His expertise spans carbon credit mechanisms—developed through collaboration with the World Resources Institute (WRI)—and ISO-certified auditing, ensuring strong governance and measurable impact.
BARE brings together a passionate team dedicated to blending traditional wisdom with modern industrial needs. Our mission is to empower rural livelihoods, create eco-friendly business opportunities, and establish bamboo as India’s “green gold,” fueling both economic prosperity and environmental stewardship for generations to come
